Following the success of Indro Hardjodikoro’s move to go solo in 2010 with “Feels Free”, here comes the second album entitled “Cerita Baru (New Story)”. Once again Indro shares his true-self in music, what he likes the most and also what musics that shaped him to become who he is today.
Listen to the description came from Indro himself: “This album is all about my self-journey and based from what I’ve seen and experienced, the music that I’ve been into in my career, both in concept and the music style. In short, you will know who I am and the kind of music that I like by listening to it.” Jazz fusion is still the red line, but he clearly offers a new concept. Much lighter than before, featuring different players and has one vocal track, sung by Andi Zoel. Other supporting names including Yoseph Sitompul, Andy Gomez, Egy (keys), Wandi, Utox (guitars), Yandi Andaputra, Jeane Phialsa (drums), Ricad Hutapea, Fabion (saxophones) and Indra Dauna (trumpet).
“Cerita Baru” is a perfect reference to go into Indro’s music and provides a window to see his innerself. You can feel his romantic side, his encounter with music that encompasses a vast range of genre from pop, rock to jazz, and of course things that he lived and learnt in his life. Some songs tells stories, some others give positive message without leaving the joy.
